He was the loving husband of 25 years to Teresa (Coller) and father to Victoria and Christopher.
He was born on June 20, 1966 in Somerville, New Jersey to the late Richard F. Proctor, Sr. and Nancy (Fiedler) Harlan. Rick lived in Somerville, Califon, Clinton, Peapack-Gladstone, Rockaway and Wharton, New Jersey and also, California. He moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1980 where he met his wife Teresa. In the fall of 1986, they moved back to the East Coast eventually settling in the Poconos where they raised their children. He worked as an auto body technician at Motion Automotive for almost 30 years. Rick enjoyed restoring classic cars, NASCAR races, riding quads with family and friends, spending time in South Dakota as well as trips to the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah. Thanks to his big heart we have many friends who are now family.
He leaves to carry on his life’s work, his wife Teresa, his children Victoria and Christopher, his mother Nancy Harlan, his brother Dwayne, his niece Erin, his great niece Colby, his aunt and uncle Pat and Paul Fiedler, cousins and his band of brothers across the globe.
Richard had been preceded in death by his father Richard, his stepmother Lee, his paternal grandparents Harry and Dorothy Proctor, his maternal grandparents Arthur “George” and Isabelle Fiedler and his uncle Georgie.
Funeral services will be held at the Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2:00-5:00pm. A prayer service will begin immediately after the viewing.
