Sharon Brock Anderson of East Ridge, formerly of Hixson, born June 9, 1945 passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018 at Hospice of Chattanooga. She graduated from Erlanger School of Nursing as a registered nurse, and worked for Moccasin Bend for 40 plus years. She was a member and served at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, attended Ladies Bible Study every Tuesday and would help on their annual BBQ that raised money for Coats for Kids. She volunteered at Relevant Hope assisting the homeless, and was the representative for Jones Memorial United Methodist Church at the East Ridge Food Pantry. She also volunteered in the Monday night Sandwich Ministry and helped with animal rescue. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Luther and Lena Brock, Sr. and Lewis and Sadie Holloway, her parents Perry and Patricia Brock, Jr., brother David Gary Brock, Sr. She is survived by her sister-in-law Darla Brock, nephew David Gary (Erin) Brock, Jr., niece Jennifer Brock Judkins (Brian Hinkle), great nephews Dylan and Declan Brock, great-nieces Ashlee Judkins (Josh) Maum, Merisa (Cordell Frizzell) Judkins, and Jessica (Justin Viola) Judkins, great-great-nephews Lincoln Maum and Vayden Viola, longtime friend Nancy Crisler, and her beloved cats. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. B. Eric Rieger officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, Relevant Hope or the East Ridge Food Pantry. The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Hospital, Hospice of Chattanooga and her Jones Memorial United Methodist Church family for their loving care.
