Robert "Bob" Gale Parks Jr.

Robert Gale “Bob” Parks, 61, lifelong resident of East Ridge passed away on Thursday February 15, 2024 at his residence. He was a graduate of East Ridge High School, Class of 1981. Bob spent the majority of his career building homes in and around the surrounding areas, following a long tradition set by his family who were all involved in construction of some sort.

His most important job was being a granddad to his grandsons, Jensen and Hayden. Bob was an avid fisherman, but some might say not quite a “catcher-man”, he left that to his grandsons. He was a GA Bulldog Fan and enjoyed watching “The Dawgs” play on Saturdays. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed spending time on the water boating or fishing. He also had a “need for speed” and thoroughly enjoyed various motorcycles and fast cars throughout his life. Bob was a Christian man and was of the Baptist faith.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert Gale Parks, Sr., and Greta Parks Fry, an infant brother, Mark Parks, and aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jenna and Jerald White, grandchildren, Jensen and Hayden White, his granddogs, Gus and Penelope, other surviving family members are, Amy and Bob Sanders, Joshua Anderson Boyd, Lara and Rodger Pruitt, Lisa and Tony Bennett, Elizabeth and Samantha Bennett, Aunt Wilma Parks, Mitch and Mike Parks, Marlana Dahms, Paul Lee and Reba Parks, Brittany and Dana Rodgers, Brian and Kady Parks, Dan and Vickie Anderson, Brett and Sasha Anderson and many dear friends.

A Visitation and Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held Monday February 19, 2024 at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412, with visitation from 4-6pm followed by the memorial service starting at 6pm. He will be laid to rest in the Hamilton Memorial gardens in a private family ceremony.
