Robert Fred Haun

He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 77 years, Dolores Butler Haun, his parents Lewis and Gladys Haun, and brothers, JL and Jarrell Haun.

He is survived by his children Donna Haun Baker of Chattanooga and Craig Haun (Bonnie) of Marietta; Grandchildren Karen B. Curtis (Tippy), Nicholas Haun (Chelsey), Christopher Lewis (Taylor) and Jessie Ponder; Great grandchildren Courtney, Porter and Steven Curtis as well as many nieces and nephews.

Robert, who was known as Fred to family, was the middle son born at home on the family farm in Whitesburg, TN October 25,1926.

He served in the US Army Combat Engineers in the Philippines.

He married Dolores Butler on March 28, 1946. The family moved to Chattanooga in 1958 where he worked for Dillard Smith Construction Co until his retirement in 1991.

He was a faithful member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where he served as deacon and deacon emeritus until his death.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Friday, April 12 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating. Graveside service will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 10-1 prior to the 1 pm service at the funeral home.
