Rita Lynette Newsom, 67, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Jones United Methodist Church. Rita retired from Blood Assurance and Centers for Sports Medicine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Newsom, father, Jack C. Little Sr., aunt, Nancy Crowe, and uncle, Charles Crowe.
Rita is survived by her mother, Ann J. Little, brother, Jack C. (Terri) Little II., nephew, Chris (Mary) Little, niece, Breanna Little, aunt, Lenda Silvers, cousins, Doug (Brenda) Silvers, Ray (Jennifer) Silvers, Dakota Silvers, Logan Silvers, Beverly Woodward, and many friends.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Doug Silvers officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church in Dunlap, TN or The Wounded Warrior Project.
