Lynda Clay Tyler (née McBrayer), 76, of Chattanooga, passed peacefully Home to be with her husband, parents, and heavenly Father on Thursday, 18 July 2019. Lynda was an interior designer with half a century of experience, a lifelong purveyor of art and style, and a determined businesswoman who worked for, founded, or owned several companies in the Chattanooga and Atlanta areas. She was also a widely respected member of the Christian community, who gave generously of her time as a prayer warrior and was long active in several churches and ministries across Tennessee, Georgia, and Africa.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Jack Tyler, and by her parents Robert Vaughan & Beatrice Adella (née Hatchett) McBrayer. She is survived by her sons Ryan and Justin Tyler; by her brother Robert Vaughan McBrayer, Jr., nephew Robert McBrayer, III, and great-nephew Robyn McBrayer, IV; and by her brother Bill McBrayer & sister-in-law Sandy, nieces Stacy Molander and Lauren Miller, and great-nephews and -nieces Hannah, George, Eliot, Ford, and Roag.
The family will receive friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel (404 S. Moore Rd.) on Monday 22 July, visitation to begin at noon. Services will follow at 2 P.M. before carrying Lynda to her final resting place alongside her beloved mother & daddy at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
