Janice Simmons Vaughn, 86, of East Ridge, TN passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home. She was a longtime member of Greens Lake Church of Christ where she retired as church secretary after 20 years of service. Prior to her secretarial work at the church she had retired from ABB Combustion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vaughn; parents, James Edward and Clara Rains Simmons and a sister, Jerri Simmons Harper.
Survivors include her daughter, Carla Samples and son, James Michael (Pat) Vaughn, all of East Ridge, TN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Minister Jim Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
