Helen Nixon, 82, of Lookout Valley, passed away on April 27, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she was a devoted Christian. Helen enjoyed traveling and the “occasional” casino trips. She was an avid bird watcher, loved her pets and enjoyed tending to her garden, where she grew many types of flowers.
Left behind to cherish Helen’s memory are her children, Howard Guinn Nixon and Kimberly Jean Nixon, grandchildren, Taylor G. Nixon; Evan Reece Nixon, great-grandson, Samson Nixon, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday April 30, 2023 at 6:00 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service beginning at 4:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Monday May 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Lakewood Memory Gardens West in Tiftonia.
