Fred had a beautiful smile and gentle nature. He was an excellent  example of a man of good character and high morals. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Our condolences and prayers to his family.   Sincerely,  Candy and Scot  Fry


The day Fred walked up to me at Miss State and introduced hisself to me, I knew we would be friends for life.  What I didn’t know was that his life would be cut short.  And while Fred’s life was not as long as we would have liked for it to be, it was however very wide.  Fred’s fun loving and very caring personality was spread so wide throughout his life.  He touched more people than he can possibly imagine.  And showed us that no matter what you are going through, you can conquer it.  The memories I have with Fred will keep me laughing for years to come. And while we may not be able to see him, I know he’s watching over all of us and will see every moment of his precious grandsons life.  We love you Fred and will see you again one day!

I had the privilege of working with Fred and getting to know him over the past few years.  He had a deep respect for his elders, veterans and for people in need.  He was very intelligent and talented, but still humble and generous to a fault.  Fred’s stories were legendary, and his sense of humor was infectious.  Fred was the kind of person I hope to be when I grow up.  He was a great mentor and friend and I will miss him terribly. RIP, my friend!

i have not known Fred that long but you did not need to in order to know what kind of man he was.He was very personable and you could tell he was genuine.Loved his family and would do anything for them. he was just a great person.i know he will be missed by all.

I loved my Uncle Fred.  He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart.  I still have his Sanford and Son ringtone ringing in my head.  RIP Uncle Fred.

So many great memories of Fred... especially his wonderful laugh. I can still hear it now. And all his fun stories. He was a cool dude, I so enjoyed having had the opportunity to work with him on several occasions.

My thoughts and prayers are with Chase and family. I’ve known Fred for over thirty years, first as a co-worker then as a cherished friend. I watched Fred give so much to others and was glad to have him as one of my very best friends. Until we meet again Fred, I love you brother.  Miss you greatly.

Words cannot express how devasted we were to learn of your brother's passing.  You were an exceptional sister and friend to care for him in such a loving manner.  Take comfort in knowing that Fred left this world realizing that everything in your power was done for him.  Keep his beautiful memories close to your heart, and find comfort in those memories and in the friends that love you so much.





I knew Fred from friends of my sister. He was a great guy. The last time I saw him was in the 1980s. RIP Brother. 

Fred was always like a big brother to me.  He and my brother, Reid Hughes, were the best of friends throughout the years.  I was heart-broken to hear of his passing.  You will be dearly missed by many.

Fred was a wonderful friend.   He always greeted you with a smile and had a wonderful sense of humor.  He was so proud of his son Chase and joyfully shared the news of the birth of his grandson, Jase.  I am going to miss Fred! He was one in a million.  We are all better for knowing him! 

We had met Fred about 6 years ago and became good friends immediately. He had a very special sense of humor that made you feel good. A kind heart is a trait that will always remain very much alive to all of us that knew him. We will continue on with our busy lives but there will always be that little thing we will continue to remember about Fred that made us feel good. May you rest in peace and enjoy your new life in a better place. Our best to you dear friend. Harry and Vicki Micka

I worked with Fred at Unum and remember his limitless patience with new team members as they learned their new roles. He was kind and thoughtful in his interactions with his co-workers. RIP, Fred.
