Doris was born in Savannah, GA to the late James and Catherine Baumgartner. She was a long-time resident of Chattanooga and was a payroll administrator at CARTA Bus Company. She will always be remembered as a dedicated mother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Coyne; siblings, James Baumgartner Jr., Janice Brooks, John Baumgartner, Jana Baumgartner, Betty Bradford and Katie Carpenter; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Lashawn Kimball.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating and visitation prior to the service from 3 to 7 PM.
