Bernice I. Kokoszka (81) passed away on October 28, 2019. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Kokoszka, daughter Jill A. Kokoszka, son Jeffrey W. Kokoszka; and granddaughter Kristy L. Capasso.
She is survived by children Robert M. Kokoszka (Sandy), Teresa M. Bledsoe (Chuck), and Anthony J. Capasso (Eileen); daughter in law Jamie Kokoszka and grandchildren Haley, Robby, and Logan (Janie) Kokoszka of Chickamauga and Kevin (Kristin) and Jessica Capasso of Aston, PA. Great grandchildren are Bella and Lane Kokoszka of Chickamauga.
Bernie served on the East Ridge School Patrol for 28 years and thoroughly enjoyed talking to all the children and their parents! Prior to this, she worked in the East Ridge Junior High School cafeteria.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14th from 4-8 p.m. at the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15th, at OLPH Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga or the Local Multiple Sclerosis Society.
