She was a native of Jamestown, KY, and was the daughter of the late Marvin and Maggie Carnes.
She was a school teacher, employee of Pioneer Bank and Sears and Roebuck Company for many years. She worked as the office manager in the automobile dealership Ringgold Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, which she and her husband owned and operated for 38 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Gene Robbins, sister Ruby Carnes, and her aforementioned parents.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Joy) Robbins of Ringgold, GA; two grandchildren, Michaela (Nathan) Kourmoulis and Maggie Robbins; great-granddaughter, Ellie Kourmoulis, and sister in law, Dorothy Hoskins.
Funeral services will be held graveside in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday June 24, 2022 at 12:30 pm with Pastor Clair Sauer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel prior to the service on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jones Memorial United Methodist Church.
