Eulogy of Dorothy R. Moore
Born: January 29, 1911 -- Passed: December 13, 2015
The Lord loves to reveal His glory often in the small, humble, and ordinary.
He uses these vessels here on earth to show that when we are weak, He is our
strength.
Dorothy's legacy is revealed by those whose life was touched by her. She was
small in stature, but very strong to endure her journey of life's ups and downs in
the most common ways.
Dorothy was a faithful wife; devoted mother; loving grandmother and great
grandmother; friend. She has shown us all that the most important things in this
life are indeed not material things.
Simple, small things brought joy to her. Her favorite passage of scripture is the
23rd Psalm. The Lord is her shepherd. He knew her by name. He has allowed her to
finally lie down in His green pastures after almost 105 years. He has now led her
beside the still waters, and has completely restored her soul for eternity. She has
been received at the heavenly table, and her cup is running over with joy to be
home. Surely goodness and mercy has followed her all the days of her life, and she
will now dwell in the House of her Lord forever.
Thank you Dorothy, for the lessons of life that can only be learned by realizing
that the Lord wants to be The Shepherd to each one of us who will seek Him, and
put Him first.
