He was born October 27, 1920 in Logansport, IN the son of Grover and Clara Packer Goodale. He married Mary Carr on January 1, 1942.
Samuel is survived by his wife of 74 years; one daughter, Nancy (Earl) vines of Washington; one son, Samuel (Susan) Goodale of Georgia; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Samuel worked at Caterpillar for 36 years in the foundry until his retirement.
He loved golf and his family.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Remmert Funeral. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.
Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
