Robert Lindle Choate

Robert Lindle Choate, 72 years old of East Peoria, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, at his daughter's home on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:15p. He resided there for the last 2 1/2 years.

He was born May 23, 1944 in Muddy, IL to Athern and Mildred (Disney) Choate. Robert worked at Caterpillar for 32 years. He was a hardworking, honest, caring loving man. He was easily recognized as a dedicated father. He was loved by many. NASCAR was a favorite of his, along with being outside enjoying the beautiful creation that God has given us.

He was survived by two daughters: Robin Choate Milliman of East Peoria, Kelly (Humberto) Nieto of Vail, AZ,; grandchildren: Amanda Milliman Johnson of San Diego, CA, Corey Milliman of Peoria, IL, Sydney Lynn Nieto, Sophia Consuelo Nieto and Sebastian Edwin Nieto- all 3 of Vail, AZ; Great grandson De'Quan Booker of San Diego, CA; three Brothers: Jack (Ann) Choate of Wichita Kansas, Rick (Jane) Choate of Creve Coeur, Frank (Chloeann) Choate of Rochester IN. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lonnie Choate (Surviving spouse Myrna Choate, California), one Sister, Nita Saylor and one Son in Law, Gary Milliman.

Special recognition to Whitney K. Burgos, caregiver for giving him the best last year of his life.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements. There will be no public services.
