Kay Ellis

She was born November 9, 1956 in Peoria IL to Thurman Dean and Mary (Craig) Ellis.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Margaret Ellis of Green Valley, IL; nieces, Melissa Arrowood, Jamie (Zac) Evans, Jennifer (Craig) Strubhar; nephews, Thurmen Ellis and Paul (Kayla) Burns.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vicky Brown Ellis and brothers, Richard and Rodger Ellis.

Kay participated in the Senior Care programs at TCRC. She enjoyed all of her activities at TCRC along with Special Olympics. She always got awards in the soft ball throw.

Her favorite performer was Elvis Presley and vacationing with friends and family, especially to see Paul Bunyan. She enjoyed the tradition of having fish sandwiches and chocolate shakes with her mother on Fridays.

She loved all her friends at Linden Estates. We thank them for the years of love and care they provided for Kay.

Kay left a special mark in everyone’s heart. She will be missed dearly by all.

Service information will be announced in the spring of 2024.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Remmert Funeral in East Peoria.
