Jack Gideonsen

He was born Nov. 5, 1929 in Clinton, IA to Edwin and Anna (Moore) Gideonsen. He married Bettye Hurt May 12, 1951 in Peoria. She preceded him in death and passed away Nov. 10, 2005 in Peoria.

Survivors include two daughters: Tina Jeremiah of East Peoria, Joni Davis of Memphis, TN, and three grandsons: Brandon, Hunter, and Landon Davis all of Memphis.

Jack worked at the Peoria Air National Guard for 42 years retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Illinois Masonic Lodge #263. He was a lifetime member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979 and the Bartonville VFW Post 3883.

Visitation will be Saturday April 25, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Masonic rites and Military rites will follow the visitation at 3 p.m.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Memorials may be made to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight. Jack was thrilled to have been able to go on the flight Sep. 23, 2014 with his military buddies.
