Where do I begin to try and tell you how much I love you and how much you will be missed, Grandma Kitty.  Years and years of love, laughter and a legacy that will last a lifetime.  I will treasure our times together wherever you were.  As a child I loved visiting and staying with you at your house in Port Hueneme and Oxnard.  I remember all the games with poker chips, pennies and cards played for hours on end with your sister Mary, my Mom and then even us as we got older. I was mesmerized by the weegie board... how did it move like that! haha I remember sleeping with the green navy blankets on beds or cots that had a slight musty smell from the dampness in the air of the foggy weather of Port Hueneme.  I loved your spaghetti and meatballs, no one could make them better.  I remember the rhubarb you grew in your back yard. I loved the trips to the beach, how you tempted us girls with trips to the movies at the navy base saying the sailor boys would be there... how could we resist as teen girls! Bowling on the base... anything on the base.  :)  You took us to the beach, miniature golfing, shopping... you were the best.  So fun and always a grandma on the go!  Even a trip to the hot tub at your place in Oxnard was a kick.  I loved the stories you would share about your past and the love you had for your husband.  I loved it when someone told you that you didn't look your age that you would replay "Oh really?" Always cracked me up.  Your 3 day fasts before you had to weigh in at Weight Watchers even when you were in your 70's and so proud to be a lifetime member lol.  Why did you need to be on Weight Watchers at that age?  I admired the fact that you took care of yourself and walked every day with Kaye and went to the movies together every Friday night.  Oh and lets not forget your absolute love for anything sweet!  Especially lemon meringue pie.  I'm glad you were able to enjoy your sweets even until your last days on this earth.  And I remember seeing jars of money stashed in your hall closet in Port Hueneme.  Little did I know that you were addicted to slot machines and bingo. Haha For good reason, you always seemed to  have a winning streak... lucky you!  Your sense of humor and laugh was contagious.  You said it like it was and could have us all roaring with laughter in just seconds.  No one will ever match or come close to your Italian wit, which was one of a kind.  :) And finally you traveled the world.  I will always admire you for living your life to the fullest and being able to say that for as long as you lived on this earth that you saw pretty much all there was to see.  How cool is that?  Not many people can say that.  Grandma you lived life loving your family and loving life.  You took the time to visit your family. You traveled to visit them even if they could not visit you, well into your elder years.  You were a devoted mother and grandmother.  You saw so many things in the 101 years you were here on this earth it's almost hard to comprehend.  I feel blessed to have been a part of your life.  I can't wait to see you again.  In the meantime, enjoy your reunion with your husband, daughter and many others who have gone before you.  I can only imagine the grand celebration you must be having.  All my love always. Mom, I will miss you every day I have left on this Earth,til I get to come and be with you.  Tell Daddy and Carol they have been missed also.  
I have so many memories that it would take a series of books to list them all.  Just know you are loved by generations of this family, that all started with you and Daddy.  Save a place for me in Heaven, cause there is no doubt in my mind that that is where you and Daddy are.

 When I think of Grandma Kitty, I think of “I can't wait”.  I can't wait to get to her house, I can't wait for her to take us to the beach as soon as the fog lifts, to stop by Bob's Big Boy on the way home, to head to the bowling alley on base, to go to the commissary, to play card games, to eat her yummy patella and finally to go to bed at night to the sound of the coo coo clock in the living room.  These are just a few of the memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life.  There has always been a very special place in my heart for you grandma.  I will miss you dearly…Until we meet again… Love you forever, your granddaughter - Janine
