Tim was born on March 18, 1957 in Lansing, to David W. Thocher and Jane L. Thocher (Wiggins) before moving north to Mears, Michigan at the age of seven.
Throughout his life, Tim had many hobbies and past times he loved, but later in life two things took precedent. His dog, Noel, who was endlessly doted upon, and the time he would spend weekly with his grandson, Christian, riding bikes, collecting the newest toy collections, or building extravagant train sets in his living room. Tim was also an avid golfer on the nice days and prolific music lover and guitar player. Tim was always ready to cheer on the Michigan State Spartans and argue about politics with whoever would listen.
Tim is survived by his two sons, Adam (Jenna) Thocher and John Thocher; his daughter, Anna Thocher; and his three grandchildren, Christian, Emma, and Lilly. He is also survived by his siblings, David (Perri) Thocher, Chris (Ann) Thocher, Quintin (Judy) Thocher, and Mary McKenzie. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Jane and sister Catherine Evans.
