Sharon Kay Young

The woman that everyone loved left us to rest forever in peace. Sharon Young, born

April 15, 1943 in Brown City, MI., passed away on May 1, 2012. The sixth of seven

children born to Allen and Rose Cornell, Sharon married the love of her life Lyle

Young on Sept 15, 1962. She and Lyle moved to East Lansing, MI, where they raised

their three children, Karen, Daniel, and Debra. For forty-nine years, they lived a

loving life together surrounded by family and friends. She loved all the family

vacations, the Wednesday night dinners with family and Saturday nights out with

their “bunch”. She is survived by her husband Lyle, of 49 years. Children, Karen

(Tony) Wey, Dan (Leann) Young, Debbie (Peter) Brown and eight grandchildren.

Brad and Lauren Wey, Lyle and Madilyn Young, Justin and Andrea Gordon and Erik

and Victoria Brown. In addition to her immediate family, Sharon will be missed by

many friends and acquaintances. A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, May 6th at Eagle Eye Golf Club

on Chandler Rd. Bath, MI. The family will receive visitors from 12 pm to 2 pm service on

site at 2 pm. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing. On
