Nick was born on November 9, 1942, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Konstantine (Gus) and Frances Garyet. He graduated from Waterford Township High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Michigan State University. Nick proudly served in the Army from 1966 to 1968.
He married Susan Baker on January 8, 1972, and they celebrated 52 years together.
Throughout his career, Nick held various managerial and ownership positions, including managing Tom's Party Store, serving as Sales and General Manager at Verderese Distributing and co-owning Classic Wines with Nick Pavona. He also co-founded American Fifth Spirits with his sons, Michael and Christopher.
Nick was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and successfully built and sold two thriving businesses. He was passionate about MSU Football, classic cars, and solving crossword puzzles.
Nick could be described as kind, caring, outgoing, and friendly. He had a love for storytelling and jokes, which he shared generously with friends and family. He was a loyal and trustworthy businessman who always saw the best in people. He cherished time with his grandchildren and was a devoted son-in-law.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Susan Baker Garyet; his sons, Christopher (Shelly) Garyet and Michael (Jennifer) Garyet; grandchildren, Simon (14) and Leo (10) Garyet, brother-in-law Jim Baker; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Garyet, his sisters Mary Coulacos and Theodora (Dody) Savas, and other relatives.
A memorial service for Nickolas will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.

Nickolas Garyet will be remembered for his generosity, love for his family, and entrepreneurial spirit.
