Rosaire C. Levesque, 89, a long time resident of East Hartford, died unexpectedly at St. Francis Hospital Thursday (November 1, 2007). Mr. Levesque was born October 2, 1918 in Ft. Kent , ME., son of the late William Levesque and Alice (Cyr) Levesque. He was the widower of Doris (Carlson) Levesque. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Corps. Rosaire retired in 1981 from the former Automatic Comfort Oil Company where he was employed for many years as a truck driver. ""Rosie"", as he was known to family and friends, was a devoted father and grandfather who never passed up an opportunity to engage his friends, neighbors and even strangers in conversation. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to anyone. Rosie was a great fan of UConn women's basketball and thankful that he lived to see the Red Sox win two World Series. He leaves a daughter, Linda Newton and her husband Donald of Bantam; four grandsons, David Levesque, Michael Levesque and his wife Ashley, Seth Newton and Eric Newton; great granddaughter, Molly Levesque. He is also survived by a sister, Marie Bragaw of Ohio and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, East Hartford. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
