Jose was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He is survived by his lovely wife of 38 years Maria Vargas, his five children: Carlos (and wife Heather), Madeline (and husband Eli), Jose Jr., Julio “Pito” (and wife Evelyn), and Leilani (and husband Edwin “Ninito”), sixteen of his grandchildren: Jordan, Austin, Kaila, Zachary, Nathanael, Lucas, Isaiah, Daniela, Benjamin, Nyleve, Dallas, Trinity, Victoria, Gabriela, Natalia, and Eliana, and three great grandchildren: Karson, Grayson, and Ace, and a number of siblings including: Wilfredo “Papo”, Angel, Zoraida, Carmin, and Tita.
Jose worked for over forty years, his most recent place of employment being Manchester Community College, where he faithfully served as lead supervisor of the maintenance department. Jose was a faithful provider who never complained about hard work. He loved his family well and loved God. Jose will be remembered most for his sense of humor, his funny stories, his infectious laughter, and his outgoing personality. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. Though our hearts are hurting, we are encouraged in Christ, our only hope; and are reminded in 2 Corinthians 5:7-9 (ESV), "for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him." We know this is not goodbye; we will see him again in eternity, “and so we will always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17c)
