John Finley Jordan, 82, of Norwich and formerly of the East Hartford area, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home. He was born in Hartford on April 23, 1940, a son of the late William P. and Florence (Finley) Jordan. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps after the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for over 30 years by Jason Soda Systems in South Windsor as a Service Manager. John was a longtime loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox who loved competing against his friends who were fans of the New York Yankees.
John is survived by his brother, James F. Jordan and his wife Lenora of East Hartford; a grandson, Waylon John Jordan of Michigan; a niece, Linda Dadario and her husband Al, and their family of East Haddam; a nephew, Jack L. Doyle and his wife JoAnn of Cromwell; several cousins and friends. Along with his beloved parents he was predeceased by his two sons, Daniel Jordan and Terrence Jordan both formerly of Norwich.
Funeral service will be Saturday (January 7, 2023) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at Our Lady of Peace Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Saturday morning, January 7, 2023.
