Irene Pellerin

Irene Ann Pellerin, beloved wife of Roger Pellerin, passed away February 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was an optimistic, courageous woman raised with a strong catholic faith in Scitico, CT to the late Euclide and Helen (Burgess) Proulx.

Irene was devoted to her family and cherished time spent with them. A woman of tremendous love who only wanted to give love, Irene always reached out to many people. She was a dedicated communicant of East Hartford North Catholic Parishes and a member of its choir. Irene worked for Travelers for 35 years before retiring. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Irene leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Roger Pellerin of 50 years who she met at Travelers Ins. Co.; her sons Michael Pellerin, Peter Pellerin and his wife Jacqueline and their sons Luke and Ethan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Andrew Pellerin, her sister Theresa Sedlacek and her brother Robert Proulx.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10AM, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 1 Community St., East Hartford CT 06108. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 10, from 5 to 8PM, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT.
