Gertrude Rose Apolzer Pinney

Gertrude Rose (Apolzer) Pinney, 91, of Wethersfield, CT and many years of East Hartford, CT passed away on Wednesday October 5. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Clifford Pinney Jr. and her sons Ronald, Lain and Clifford III.

Mom lived a long healthy life, always with family close by. These last few years she lived with Cliffy's daughter Jaclyn and her 3 girls Lily, Acacia and Rose. She had a quiet strength, a kindness for all and a love for her family that had no boundary. She lived life with a positive outlook despite the devastating losses of her 3 boys and her husband. She was the constant comfort and strength that we all could depend upon.

She will be sorrowfully missed by her children (& spouses); Verne and Jeanie Pinney, Janet and Thomas Blesso, Craig and AnneMarie Pinney along with 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108. Friends and relatives are invited to meet at 9:30 AM Tuesday October 11, with a Celebration of Life service to take place at 10:00AM at the funeral home.
