Debra “Debbie” Beaulieu, 64, of East Hartford, loving soulmate of John D. Walls, for 42 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her home with her caring husband by her side. Born in Hartford on July 13, 1958, a daughter of the late Armand J. and Pauline (Cormier) Beaulieu, she had been a lifelong resident of East Hartford. Debbie was a graduate of East Hartford High School, class of 1976 and attended Manchester Community College earning an Associate in Science degree as a Legal Assistant in 1978. She was employed by Stop & Shop for 41 years in various roles, most recently as a Pharmacy Technician. She worked most of her career in East Hartford and most recently in Manchester. Debbie was very close and made friendships with many of her pharmacy customers. Debbie was an avid reader, especially Stephen King novels. She enjoyed solving puzzles, crosswords and playing many different board games. Debbie loved anything Halloween, haunted trails, ghost shows, murder mysteries and scary movies. She also loved going to fairs, especially the Woodstock fair, family vacations to the beach, the White Mountains and Damariscotta Lake in Maine. Holidays and Sunday dinners will not be the same without her cheesy potatoes and Tourtière pie. Most of all, Debbie was a caring woman who cherished her time spent with her husband, son and entire family.
Besides her beloved husband John, Debbie is survived by her son, Kyle D. Walls and his wife Rachel of East Hartford; four brothers, Robert Beaulieu and his wife Doris of Glastonbury, James Beaulieu and his partner Sam of Plantation, FL, Ronald Beaulieu of East Hartford, Gary Beaulieu and his wife Carey of East Hampton; two sisters, Dianne Burkhardt and her husband Robert of Raleigh, NC, Karen Palin and her husband Gene of East Hartford; several in-laws; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Honoring Debbie’s wishes, private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Debbie’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
