William Ricky Collier

Dunn, NC Mr. William Ricky Collier, age 60, of Greenpath Rd.. Dunn died Monday Evening, February 6, 2017 at Wake Medical Center. Ricky was born in Harnett County on July 11, 1956 the son of the late William David Collier & Jean Bass. He is preceded in death by Grandparents, D.C. & Betty Tutor and Marvin & Annie Collier and a bother Kent Bass.

Ricky was married to his best friend, Ann Collier of 42 years. They had two daughters, Susan Collier Citro and Annie Collier Johnston.

Ricky had always been an active member of the Plain View Community, he served on the Plain View Fire Department as a firefighter for 10 years. He was the owner of Autotech Automotive for 17 years and prior to that Colliers Garage. Ricky had a passion for fishing and gardening. Anyone who knew Ricky could find him in his spare time on "Island Time." When he wasn't on "Island Time" he was on the tractor tending his garden. The garden was more of a gathering spot for family and friends. Ricky would carefully and lovingly plant the garden and watch it grow, only to have others share in his love. Ricky had a granddaughter, the apple of his eye, whom he shared his love for life, fishing and dirt. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillips Boykin officiating. He is survived by: His Wife: Phyllis Ann Tyndall Collier of the Home. Daughters: Susan C. Citro & (husband) Mike and Annie C. Johnston & (husband) Chris both of Dunn, NC. A very special granddaughter: Isabella Grace Citro. A Step-Father: Billy Joe Bass of Dunn, NC. A Brother: Terry Bass & (wife) Rose of Erwin, NC. A Sister: Marsha Bass of Dunn, NC. He has countless family and friends who will greatly miss him. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home, one Hour prior to the service. The family request continued prayers in lieu of flowers.
