Susan Brantley Collier, age 82 of Sun City Center, Florida and formerly of Linden, departed this life on Monday, December 23, 2019. She was born on April 30, 1937 in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Handy G. Brantley and the late Susan Oda Denton Brantley. She was also preceded in death by her husband: William Kenny Collier; Sons: Paul Douglas Collier and Ritchie Garrod Collier; Brother: Graham Brantley; Sisters: LaRue O’Quinn, Elsie Jones and Rosamond Brantley. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Collier’s Chapel Church. She loved spending her days playing the old cherished hymns on her keyboard. Sue loved people. No matter who it might be, she would always greet you with a smile, a hug and a big I love you. She loved everyone, but more especially her family.
Susan leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Curtis Doran Collier of Linden and Melinda Collier of Brandon, Florida; Grandchildren: Jonathan Troy Collier, Jonathan Curtis Collier, Kyle Doran Collier, Adrian Timothy Hall, Deanna Marie Collier, Zachary Russell Harig, and Courtney Eve Harig; Great-Grandchildren: Madilynn Hall, Sophia Hall, Silas Collier and Celestina V. Collier; Sisters: Shirley Cummings of Winston-Salem and Mary Ellen Kendall of Knightdale.

A funeral service to commemorate the life of Susan Brantley Collier will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Al Norris officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Harnett Devotional Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
