Steven Ellis Lancaster

He was born on December 1, 1974 in Demopolis, Alabama in Marengo County.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother Brian K. Lancaster and his father Derrell L. Lancaster, both from Sawyerville, Alabama.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 27 years, Vickie Lancaster; his sons Matthew Lancaster Wayne Lynch (Josh Gilliam-Lynch); his daughters Amber Corbin (Joseph Corbin) and Jessica Ogburn (fiance Travis Harrell); his grandchildren Joseph Corbin II, Triston Lynch, Joshua Herring, Nathan Lynch, AngelMarie Corbin, Abigail Corbin, Alexander Hernandez, Arika Corbin, Cameron Lynch, Chloe Hernandez, George Lynch, and Wiley Harrell; his sisters Julie L. Trentham (Billy) and Melissa L. Robinson; his Aunt Carolyn L. Brownlee (Buddy); his Uncle Rick L. Lancaster (Vicki); and his mother Priscilla Short also of Alabama. Steve also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Steve was in the Army for 12 years. He was a Sergeant when he was medically discharged in 2003. He married his sweetheart, Vickie, in 1997; and was a great husband, father, papa, and friend. He loved to deer hunt anytime he got a chance, and he was also a big Roll Tide fan. Another one of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve also cherished his precious dog, MacyGrace Lancaster, who he spent a lot of time with.
