Richard Allen Rhodes

Richard "Ricky" Allen Rhodes, age 48, of Magnolia, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born on June 29, 1971 in Avon Park, Florida to Ruby Arlene Smith Rhodes and Larry Allen Rhodes. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Walter and Estelle Smith; paternal grandparents: Gene and Marjorie Rhodes. Ricky was a phenomenal welder for Design Workshop in Warsaw and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved the great outdoors, being in the fresh air, whether it was riding horses, or walking through the woods or hunting. Ricky was a loving father, son, husband, grandfather and brother with a heart of gold. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Ricky leaves behind to mourn his passing, his parents: Ruby Arlene Smith Rhodes and Larry Allen Rhodes of Frostproof, FL; wife: Denise Rhodes; children: Cameron Rhodes of Stedman, Brooke Anderson of Stedman, Bryan Baker and wife Nickie of Clinton, and Courtney Rhodes of Frostproof, FL; step children: Zack of Burgaw, Samatha of Magnolia and Desaree of Magnolia; sisters: Michelle Anderson and husband Robert of Avon Park, FL, Gwen Blasinger and husband Kevin of Erwin and Pamela Emerich of Dunn; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

At his request, the family has elected cremation and no formal services are scheduled at this time.
