Marissa Rose Hudak, 12, of Linden, NC died on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
She was born on April 6, 2009 in Cumberland County, North Carolina to Robert Charles Hudak
and Pamela Gainey Hudak.
"To tell you about Marissa in a few shorts words is extremely difficult. To fully tell you about her would take many pages or even a book to do so. She was only 12yrs old but, she was a multifaceted individual. Since her first year of life, she kept her parents on their toes.
She was a free-spirited girl who loved to dance, craft, experiment with make-up, shop thrift stores, and came up with some of the most unusual outfits to wear. She was not a morning person but, once she was fully awake, it was on!
She was mischievous and loved to pull pranks on friends and family. She was silly and loved to pose for the camera. She was incredibly smart and maintained A’s and B’s with little effort. She recently competed on her school’s math team helping to win 1st place in the Harnett county competition.
Her favorite foods were mac&cheese, tacos, and recently developed a love of Dunkin Donuts vanilla iced coffee. Above all, she was a loving and caring child. She helped with animal rescues in the past. She would give a person anything she had if they needed it.
Even though she was young, she lived a vibrant life. She was always smiling and giving some random pose for seemingly no reason just to make someone smile. She was just as comfortable standing in front of the mirror putting on makeup as she was laying fully submerged in a dirty mudpuddle. Whatever mood struck her, she jumped in with both feet.
Her light will forever live on in the hearts of those that knew and loved her. "
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Colliers Chapel Cemetery, in Linden, NC.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Gerald Walter Gainey, Sr.
She is survived by her parents: Robert and Pamela Hudak, of Linden, NC
