Kenneth Kirksey Brittain, age 91 of Dunn, passed away on Saturday December 18, 2021 in Dunn, NC.
Kenneth was born on July 29, 1930 in Burke County, North Carolina.Son to the late Edward Moton Brittain and Hester Jane Stone. He is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth K. Brittain, Jr.
Kenneth was born again and baptized in June of 1943 at the Burkmont Baptist Church in Burke Co. N.C.
He served in the Merchant Marines for twelve years with the SIU. Later he joined the IBEW and worked as an industrial electrician throughout the United States for thirty-one years. He eventually retired in 1992, and moved to Erwin after three years in Alabama.
Mr. Brittain joined the Whiteriver Lodge #62 F & AM, in Show Low Arizona in 1980, moved to Alabama and joined the Claybank Lodge # 908 of Ozark, Alabama, afterward he demitted to the Neill S. Stewart Lodge #556 in Erwin, North Carolina. He was installed as Master of the Neill S. Stewart Lodge on January 10th, 2004.
He was also an active member of the First Baptist Church of Erwin.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.

A Daughter: Suzie Brittain of Vineland, New Jersey
Grandchildren: Emmanuel Brittain, Daniel Brittain, Jr., Tashia Brittain, Ronald Powell, Kevin Powell & Allen Powell
A Brother: Weldon M. Brittain of Morganton, NC
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday December 22, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
The family requests that there is no large floral arrangements, small flowers and potted plants are welcome. Donations to Bethel Holiness Church, 510 NC HWY 82, Dunn, N.C. 28334 are welcome.
Due to COVID, masks are required in the funeral home.
