Mr. James Myron Jackson, age 55, of 5780 Maxwell Road, Autryville, North Carolina, passed away at Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. He was born on November 3, 1963 in Harnett County to the late James W. Jackson and the late Lillie Lee Jackson.
Myron had the gift of gab, and anyone who had visited at the store knew this. Even strangers, he would always find some common ground and next thing you know, he was walking up and down every isle, carrying on a full conversation. Perhaps, a lot of his conversation skills came from his love of sports, as a young man he loved watching basketball and as he got older he loved cheering the Tarheels on to another victory or maybe it was the Atlanta Braves to another World Series. Either way, as long as he was watching a ball game he was happy. It may be that some of his ability to talk to people came from all the reading he did. Whether it be a Tom Clancy spy novel or a Clive Cussler book, he loved to read it! As a young man he was an avid hunter and an excellent marksman. Myron had a knack for fixing things, it could be a lawn mower or some other small engine or restoring old cars and tractors, whatever it was, he could tinker with it until it was good as new. Myron was a devoted and loving son; after his father’s passing, he took on the role of caring for his mother for over ten years until the time of her passing last year. They were both residing at Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington at the time of their passing.
Myron leaves behind to cherish his memory, his uncle: Bobby Lee, Sr. of New York State; his cousin: Robert Perry Lee, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Graham; brothers: Carlton Honeycutt and Matthew Hall both of Autryville.
A graveside service to commemorate the life of Myron Jackson will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Clement Baptist Church Cemetery 6020 Maxwell Rd, Autryville, NC 28318 with Rev.
