Gary Cuthral Hamilton Sr.

Born to the late Randall Hoke and Ockey Lucas Hamilton in 1930, he lived a full and storied life always rooted by family, which he exalted over all things. Being an Air Force Veteran and having a successful career were things to be proud of, but family always came first in his eyes.

Gary was preceded in passing by his wife Jessie S. Hamilton; daughter Jennifer “Ginger” Hamilton Whittenton; son Gary “Chip” Hamilton Jr; grandson Garrett Grantham; and brothers Dalton, Edward, Leodell, RL, and Shelton.

He is survived and loved by his sister, Rilda Hamilton Collier; daughter-in-law, Michele Allen Hamilton; daughter, Jill Grantham; grandchildren, Dare Whittenton, Erin McGill, Lindsay Yates, Gary “Clint” Hamilton, Haley Grantham, and Houston Hamilton; and lastly his great-granddaughters, Haven Grace, Lillie Rose, and Nova Ferelith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Mr. Hamilton are welcome on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.

There will be a graveside service for Mr. Gary Cuthral Hamilton, Sr., on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Erwin Memorial Park with Rev. Wesley Hamilton officiating.
