Frances Cromartie Jones

Frances was born in Harnett County on February 19, 1918 the daughter of the late Raymond L. Cromartie, Sr. and Lela Driver Cromartie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jones and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Jones.

Frances was a graduate of Dunn High School and Peace College in Raleigh with a accounting degree. She worked for various businesses in Dunn through the years and retired from Home Savings and Loan Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dunn.

She was an avid bridge player and was a member of two clubs and a charter member of The Cosmopolitan Book Club.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Dunn with Dr. Len Keever officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

She is survived by, Sons: Walt Jones of Dunn, NC; Wayland Jones & (wife) Linda of Garner, NC; Lynn Jones & (wife) Kathy of Asheboro, NC.

Grandchildren: Joanna Mason & (husband) Stuart of Charlotte, NC; Meredith Martin & (husband) Chad of Raleigh, NC; Katie Kimrey & (husband) Trey of Albemarle, NC; Wesley Jones & (wife) Patty of Charlotte, NC; Kathryn Brennan of Raleigh, NC.

Great Grandchildren: Walker Martin, Charlie Mason, Caroline Kimrey, Hayes and Holt Mason, Amabelle Jones, Lela Martin & Kimrey Clark.

Her Caregivers: Gloria Campbell, Alease Clark, Lynn Miles & Kimberly Clark.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church Ladies Parlor in Dunn, NC, one hour prior to the service.

And at other times at the home.
