Donnie Ray Coats

Donnie was born on May 12, 1952, to the late James Uriah Coats and Brunnie Holland Coats in Harnett County, NC.

Donnie was a U.S. Marines Veteran and received numerous medals and commendations. Donnie formerly worked for Carver Equipment Company in Dunn, NC. He was an avid fan for the Duke Blue Devils and the New Orleans Saints.

Donnie is survived by his three daughters: Tracy E. Lee of Autryville, NC, Vicki Lynn Heskey (Brandon) of Godwin, NC, and Jennifer Coats of Angier, NC; four grandsons: Austin Ray Lee (Brandi) of Four Oaks, NC, Michael Seth Turlington of Goldsboro, NC, Joshua Heskey of Godwin, NC, and Jimi Heskey of Godwin, NC; two great-grandsons: Weston Ray Lee of Four Oaks, NC and Michael Asher Turlington of Goldsboro, NC; the mother of his daughters: Annette T. Coats of Dunn, NC; and his best friend Ricky Miller of Dunn, NC.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home with the Pastor Danny Darden officiating
