Billy Ross Flowers

A native of Harnett County, born on June 27, 1937 to the late Lloyd Judd Flowers and Nora Layton Flowers. Preceding him in death also was his wife Miriam Flowers: two sons, Baby Boy Flowers and Timothy Wayne Flowers and a brother Bobby Flowers.

Billy loved his family especially his grandchildren. He loved watching NASCAR with his boys. Fishing, horseshoes, and simply playing cards especially Poker with friends were favorite pastimes. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Billy was a retired sheet metal mechanic with Mechanical Associates, in Cary with over 42 years of service

Left to cherish his memories are two sons; Eric Ross Flowers (Rita), of Dunn, NC and Randall Martin Flowers, and wife Sherrie, of Erwin, NC; one sister, Jean Stewart, of Cleveland, OH; 6 grandchildren, Erica Putnam, and husband Jonathon, David Dowdy, and wife, Tracy, Corey Flowers, Brittany Zinkow, and husband, Arlo, Cody Flowers, and Autumn Flowers ; and 11 great-grandchildren, Anslee Putnam, Landon Dowdy, Rowan Dowdy, Mason Flowers, Carson Flowers, Duncan Zinkow, Arlo Zinkow, Kobe Flowers, Micah Flowers, Daniel Flowers, and Jarrett Douglas; a niece Trudy Parrish and husband Tim, of Dunn, NC who was one of his caregivers; and several other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerome Edwards officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, with the rendering of military honors.
