She was born to the union of the late Frankie Harant and Barbara Jean Harant Broome in Dunn on July 30, 1964.
In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by the following members of her family: Husband: Howard Corbin; Grandparents: James Edwin Broome and Teria Broome.
There is no one adjective to describe Faith. She was so many things to so many people. She was a loving wife to her husband of over 25 years. She was a loving mother to her children. She was not only a good mom to her children but to over 150 other children who she provided a loving and nurturing foster home to over the years. She loved to give of herself, even at times forsaking her own happiness for the happiness of others. Faith knew how to make those around her feel beautiful and how to turn a bad day into a good one. She was true to her feelings, if she wanted to do it there would be nothing to stop her from accomplishing what she had set fourth in her mind to do. She loved to fix those which were broken and there was no such thing as a "stray" to her as she welcomed them all in to her embrace to care for, from animals to people. She was a huge animal lover, her family can recall her feeding the squirrels by throwing them bread from the window. Her feline companion Lillian Rose AKA "Lilly" was her tag along and the most loyal friend she ever had to walked on four legs.
She was a free spirit, who loved spending time with those she loved, especially card games with her family (in which she always managed to "win") and shopping trips with her daughter. She loved to read and write poetry, she had even written a book in which she had hoped to one day have published. She loved music, oldies were her favorite! She enjoyed gardening immensely and always took great pride in hers. Her family recall her as being a wonderful cook, She owned a restaurant which was well known for country cooking, her soul food couldn't be beat. She was loving, kind, resourceful, independent and always reliable. Only a phone call away for those who needed her. Although she has entered into rest, the love and memories left behind in the hearts of those who knew here best will last a lifetime.
Left behind to cherish her legacy are the following members of her family: Daughter: La'Teria Corbin of Durham; Son: Tristian Corbin of Durham; Step-children: LaTonya Dunlap & Yulonda Corbin both of Fayetteville, N.C.
Shanelle Corbin of Hope Mills, N.C. Angel McGill & (husband) Bennie of Elizabethtown, N.C. Grandson: Tristian Corbin; Brothers: Frankie "Eddie" Harant and wife Shannon of Benson and Dale Harant and wife Robin of Dunn; Sisters: Madlynn of Plymouth and Tonya Lee of Dunn; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
