It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Zulauf Fraser McKay, weeks before her 86th birthday. Jean was a remarkable musician and an extraordinary English teacher of nearly twenty-five years. Her compassion for and devotion to her family were steadfast. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Sandy (Alexander) McKay and the cherished mother of Julie Brott (Denis Brott) and Danae Fraser. Jean leaves behind four grandchildren, Talia, Aleta (Kerry Moher), Vanessa and Joshua and one great-granddaughter, Sophie Moher. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral (252 James Street North, Hamilton) on July 9, 2012, at 11am. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted by the Shalom Village Charitable Foundation in Hamilton, ON. There is no adequate way the family can express their gratitude for the loving care and compassion of the team in Shalom Village Too, second floor, where Jean resided for five and a half years.
