It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bruce Noble Robinson, with Krysia the love of his life and wife of 43 years by his side at the Hamilton General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Clarence Robinson and Dr. ‘Bobbi’ Robinson. Beloved brother of Sheilagh Robinson, brother-in-law of Laura and Jean-Guy Levaque, proud uncle of nephew Paul, niece Nicole, and Alexander and Caroline, children of Karol and Karin Romanowski, very dear friend of so many. He will be deeply missed by his ‘clinic family’, colleagues, and clients - human and animal alike - of the Dundas Animal Hospital. Bruce graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1974, where he was awarded the gold medal for overall achievement. Throughout his career, Bruce was known for his deep love for and dedication to the animals in his care, as well as his commitment to mentoring students and continuing education. He was recently awarded the veterinary service award from the O.A.B.P for his efforts mentoring Ontario Veterinary College externship and V-step students. Bruce was an exceptionally kind, compassionate and brilliant man of many talents. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his quick wit, his beautiful voice and guitar playing, and his love of life and nature. For decades Bruce regularly donated blood and platelets; just one example of his commitment to community and helping others. Heartfelt thanks to the medical teams of the E.R., I.C.U and stroke unit of the Hamilton General Hospital for their expertise, compassion and kindness. Thank you to all our friends for your love, care and support. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Saturday, August 12th from 11-1pm. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of Bruce to Canadian Blood Services, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
