My name is Reza, and I am a foreign veterinarian graduate.  Dr. Robinson helped me tremendously when I was applying for my license. I appreciated his kindness and wisdom and he was a great resource for me. My deepest condolences to Dr. Robinson's family. He will be sincerely missed. 

I was so saddened to read of Bruce's passing the Guelph Portico. I went to Elementary School with Bruce and even then it was evident he would become someone very special. I remember spending time at "The Creek" with Bruce as the two of us learned about Falconry (this was grade two by the way, that is how strong a memory this was for me). I loved going to his house and chatting with his parents - it was always about learning and caring. Bruce was a brilliant person who used his talents to make the world a better place. Condolences to his sister Sheilagh and wife who was fortunate to spend 43 years with this marvelous person.

We send our deepest condolences to Bruce's colleagues & clients, his close friends, to my cousin Sheilagh, and to Bruce's beloved Krysia.  As a western cousin, I only saw Bruce at widely spaced intervals.  Still, his memory is very precious.

I first met Bruce in 1964 at Little Shuswap Lake, when all the Ontario and Saskatchewan cousins made the pilgrimage to the West.  I was only 7, while Bruce was (I think) 10.  He taught us so much about Toronto and introduced us to all the major songs that we needed to know, mostly the classicsGoing to the Garden to Eat Worms, Army Life, and The Beatnik Song.  Many years later, my wife & I were out for a drive across Canada and visited Bruce & Krysia in Dundas, expecting to stay for coffee.  Well, we ended up staying overnight and talking until 3 AM!  That just sums up the close bond we had as cousins.  It was like we were kids again.

Bruce was the most gifted person I have ever met. Tall and handsome, athletic, a brilliant musician, and a genius with a very big heart. I enjoyed deep philosophical conversations during long car rides many years ago. Memories include intense soccer games at the cottage during Thanksgiving and becoming friends with a good Samaritan who pulled our car out of the ditch on a snowy road in the middle of the night. He made the world a better place to many. Sympathy to Sheilagh and Krysia.

We were very sadden to hear of Dr. Robinson's passing.  He always looked after our large animals and we thought the world of him.  He was a gentle giant that brought calm to us  when we were worried about our sick animals.  He liked my story about my goat eating catnip and ended up sounding like a chicken.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  My deepest sympathy to his wife, family and all who knew him.

I had the privilege of accompanying Dr. Robinson on farm calls before going to vet school. Within a short time I learned that this man, who always had the Irish Rovers playing in his car, made sure I was never without a free coffee, and had a remarkable immunity to the cold, was the type of veterinarian we all aspire to be. He seemed to captivate and hold the deep respect of every client we visited, and I know he left a lasting impression on all the lives he touched. He was a devoted mentor to so many and an incredibly kind man. My most heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues for their profound loss.  

I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work with Bruce for the past two years. He truly was the kindest, most generous person I have ever met. He always made sure the staff was well caffeinated, and he kept our freezer full of treats for the rough days. What a terrible loss for everyone, his corny jokes, positive energy and constant whistling will be deeply missed. XO

I was shocked to hear of Bruce's sudden passing. He was a great colleague to work with during the first year after our graduation. It was refreshing to touch base with him again in later years at OVMA. My deepest sympathy for your loss Krysia.

A gentle giant of a man with a personality and soul to match.  I had the pleasure of working with him and having him as my boss for 9 years at Dundas Animal Hospital.  He will be truly missed by many.

Bruce was an outstanding veterinarian and an all round great guy. We shared summer jobs for 2 years at OVC and enjoyed many "mini reunions" at OABP meetings. I was so happy to be with him when he won the Veterinary Service Award in 2011. It has been my honour to be his friend.

Hard to find the right words to describe someone that has been apart of my life for so long.
I have been very fortunate to have had Dr Robinson as by boss since 1984!
Truly one of the nicest people you could know!
His compassion, his knowledge, his humour (although sometimes we rolled our eyes!! ) are all qualities that were admired.
If we were having a bad day it was a Tims run or the freezer full of ice cream bars!
I will miss him whistling down the hall, his desk piled high in papers (and a lot of other things!!) although he always said he knew where everything was!
Our family at Dundas Animal Hospital has lost a good one, he will be missed by so many.

Our deepest sympathies to his wife and all of his family.  We were Bruce's first clients when he started at Dundas Animal Hospital and knew from the very start we had made the right choice. There are not enough words to describe how compassionate,kind and loving he was to our horses.  Not only to them but to us as well, especially when a horse had to be put down.  Our last incident with our last horse happened at a bad time in our lives and I couldnt be with my horse but I knew that with Dr. Robinson, it would be as if I were there with my beloved horse.
Great veterinarian, great man, always asking about our grandchildren and discussing my fear of snakes. I think he actually thought I would grow to tolerate them.  He will never be forgotten.  An all round nice man.

Bruce taught me more about veterinary medicine in the time I had with him (and others at DAH) than I learned in years of training. His passion (and compassion) for teaching, his patience with students and young vets, his clear love for his work, and his dedication to his clients and patients is something I'll carry with me everyday. My fondest memory of Dr. Robinson above all that, was that we would sing our way everywhere - to farm calls, Tim Hortons, everywhere. If a good song came on, we just couldn't help ourselves. We love you and will miss him dearly. The world has lost a truly great man. But he is never really gone because he lives in all of us, those whom he changed for the better.

I had the privilege of shadowing and getting to know Bruce two years ago as an externship student in 4th year vet school. He was a brilliant vet, a very kind soul towards animals and humans alike, and was very sharp witted. It was such an honour to work with him. My sincerest condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to Krysia, family and everyone experiencing this devastating loss. I was an externship student with Bruce in the summer of 2015. He was the kindest, most patient and compassionate mentor during that time. I will never forget how much I learned from him! I really enjoyed all of our discussions about veterinary medicine and life in general. He was an incredible veterinarian and person and I am lucky to have known him. He will definitely be missed by all. 

We have had the privilege of knowing Bruce for the past 7 years. He would visit our farm to check horses pigs and sheep. His kind heart and love for the animals always shone through especially in difficult situations. He was always quick to call back and check up on the animals he treated. This just shows what a caring and thoughtful person he was. 
Bruce loved our Border Collies! Our female 'Dot' has had a litter a year for the last number of years and Bruce has always come out to vaccinate and check the pups. I looked forward to chatting with him and hearing stories of his experiences in the past with his own pups. I will treasure these times. 
He connected us with farmers who were looking for good farm dogs and some of our pups went to his farm clients. 
Knowing Bruce has warmed our hearts and he will be greatly missed by us and all of our farm animals. Our sincerest condolences to his family and clinic family. Sending you much love, Mark & Tania

The world today is a little darker. A light; soft-spoken, kind, and gentle, has burnt  out. How I will miss you, Bruce. One of many veterinarians-to-be, I spent countless hours with you on the road back in 1996, learning not only pearls of vet wisdom, but about the glaciers that once molded our local fields into hills, about an ancient Indigenous  Peoples grave site discovered during housing construction near Ancaster,  and  about how important it was to keep "giving blood". So many things you knew about!
Bruce supported my return to school and achievement of my dream of becoming a veterinarian. Thank you so very much for the times you let me sew some stitches (cow hide really is tough!!) , feel "inside" and "experience" not stand by the sidelines. Bruce, you made such a difference in so many lives. Such a life well lived. Thanks for your friendship and thank you so much for countless coffee and bagels, on so many car trips to so many cow calls. You will not be forgotten...but I don't want to say good bye...

I met Bruce at U of G when he was first starting his DVM program.  He always kind and had a great sense of humour.  I remember him going out of his way and driving me home in his VW Bug on the weekend. His sister Sheilagh is still a friend to this day. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. We have lost a great gentleman #1 and #2 an amazing Vet , that always took the time to explain things and always supported us and helping us make decisions on the farm that was the best for the animal .A great man !  . The true value in life is not the money we have in the bank in the end , but how many lives a person has touched in there life and career  .

Bruce was such a caring, compassionate veterinarian and person.  His true passion for veterinary medicine was clear to the NUMEROUS students who were mentored by him over the many years that he practiced.  As a veterinarian, I have always looked up to him.   I learned so much while riding around with him on farm calls during my externship way back in 1993, and was always impressed with him being able to recall even the most trivial veterinary medical facts when we discussed cases. I enjoyed working with him at the Dundas Animal Hospital for several years after I graduated, as he offered me further guidance as I began my veterinary career.   
 He was a phenomenal  teacher and mentor, and I have sent many pre-veterinary students his way to gain large animal experience since then, as his kind and gentle nature made even the shyest of students comfortable to be around him.  Bruce always had a smile on his face and was always in a great mood!!  I was very sad and so shocked to hear this devastating news.  He was an incredible person, and he will be missed dearly.

Bruce was a man that made the world a better place!  I was very fortunate to have worked at DVGCC for over 8 years, and assisted him with many parties and events. What a wonderful soft spoken person with beautiful creativity.  His love of music which along with a number of other members filled the clubhouse walls with warmth.
