Born June 21, 1956 in Dallas, Texas and went home to meet the Lord on January 11, 2016 at the age of 59 in Dallas, Texas. Mary is preceded in death by her brother Pete Rivera and mother Juanita Alvares. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 44 years Pete Pecina Jr., son Pete Pecina III and wife Uyen, three grandchildren Priscilla Pecina, Ming Yee and Pete Pecina IV, siblings, Janie Alcala, Alex Alcala Jr. and wife Mary Jane, Frank Alcala, Antonia Trillo, George Alcala, Sylvia Loredo and husband Edward, and Joe Villarreal, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Mary was full of life and enjoyed giving of her time and energy in volunteering and sharing with others. Mary developed her career and dedicated many years in the banking business. She enjoyed spending her time with friends in yoga and jazzercise after work and on weekends. She always looked forward to her next vacation at many resorts and beaches with the sunset and blue water on one side and a glass wine on the other. She enjoyed making plans to have fun visiting different places and experiencing new things with both friends and family. Mary loved shopping and had a lovely and special style in her clothing selection and fashion.
Mary often kept in touch with family and friends as a way of support and getting together. Many who remember Mary reflect on how she made others feel through her kind spirit, patience, and warm heart as well as her beautiful smile. Mary will always hold a special place in every heart she touched.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday January 15, 2016 at David Clayton and Sons from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday January 16, 2016 at David Clayton and Sons at 1 PM with Pastor Daniel Prince officiating.
