has passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Duncan, British Columbia.
She was born in Charlottesville, VA, grew up in Haileah/Miami, FL., schooled in Florida & Colorado, and became a teacher.
She married my father, and travelled as young teachers, finally nesting in the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada.
She taught in the Island Catholic Schools system, St. Joseph’s in Chemainus, and Queen of Angels in Duncan.
Her retirement was filled with gardens, flowers, wild birds, butterflies and bees, fresh fruit and veggies, and wild bunnies, walks with friends, and lots of great books.
Her favourite adventures were trips driving from here to the Atlantic Ocean, to visit friends and family, then driving all the way back.
Her favourite projects were helping little seedlings grow up, ( to become mighty oaks, ‘Sic Parvis Magna,’ ) and Jigsaw Puzzles.
She is survived by her son, sisters, and many beloved cousins.
In Lieu of Flowers, we encourage donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/
A Memorial will be held with details being announced shortly. Everyone is welcome.
