Peter Joseph Fetchko

It is with immense sadness that we the family of Peter Joseph Fetchko (Pete) announce his sudden passing at home in Cowichan Lake. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, and best friend, Wendy Fetchko (nee Kyle), sons Patrick (Krista), and Nathan, and his most treasured grandchildren, Lucca and Sophia.

He is also survived by his siblings Eric, Lance, John, Joycene, Andrew, Rita and families, his cousins, and many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Patricia and sister, Ann.

Pete was born in Powell River where he spent his early years and lived the rest of his life in the Cowichan Valley.

He enjoyed spending time with family, riding his motorbike, fishing, hiking, cooking, coaching baseball and soccer, and of course making his famous homemade blackberry jam. He was a kind, caring, and loving man with quick wit and an incredible sense of humour. In the eyes of his grandchildren he was the “Best Papa Ever” and will be greatly missed <3

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the New Life Community Baptist, 1839 Tzouhalem Road, Duncan, B. C. from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
