Jozsef Kovacs (Joe) passed away peacefully with family by his side, from cancer, in Duncan on October 5, 2024 at the age of 86. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. Joe was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada in 1957 where he met the love of his life Elizabeth (Betty). Their love lasted and flourished for 62 years of marriage.
Predeceased by his parents John & Tracey, brother John, sister Elizabeth, daughter-in-law Sherry and son-in law Ford. Joe is survived by his wife Elizabeth, and 5 children Wayne (Sandra), Toni-Lynn, Jozsef (Lynn), Peter, Tracey. Blessed with 8 grandchildren; Tony, Cory, Sean, Chris (Megan), Jason (Miranda), Chad (Tammy), Laura (Joe), Clinton (Carlyn). Doubly blessed with 11 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews in Canada and Hungary.
Besides his family, Joe’s greatest love was his garden & fishing. He spent many years out on the water in Port Renfrew. To us he was the Greatest Fisherman! We will take comfort in the memories. Until we meet again!
