Margaret Ellen Anderson

Margaret was born on December 3, 1919 to Frans Axel Ewald and Cecelia Amanda (Brandt) Juten of Cedar Drive Stock Farm. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Arnold Lutheran Church which is now Family of God Lutheran Church. She attended schools in Duluth and graduated from Central High School in 1937. She then attended the Duluth Business College for a period of time. After she graduated from the Business College she went to work for Standard Oil Company in Washington D.C. She left the company when she moved back to Duluth to marry Donald A. Anderson.

Margaret belonged to many clubs and organizations including the Duluth Women's Homebuilders Auxiliary and Family of God Church. She was also active in the Arnold/Rice Lake community. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting gifts for friends and relatives, helping out and making things for church bazaars, fishing, swimming and camping. Margaret had a kind heart and a giving spirit. She enjoyed helping others as well as her church. She will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her son, LeRoy D. Anderson; a child in infancy; her parents and one sister.

Margaret is survived by her 3 daughters, Diane C. and her husband Major (Ret) Leonard W. Schubring of Melbourne, FL, Shirley M. Anderson of Palm Coast, FL and Sheryll K. Anderson of Duluth; grandchildren, Leonard W. Schubring, Jr. of Melbourne, FL and Brandon L. Anderson of Duluth; 3 sisters; 2 brothers as well as many other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Family of God Lutheran Church 4097 Martin Rd. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
