Conrad Nelson

He grew up in Two Harbors and was a 1938 graduate of Two Harbors High School. He was married on December 24, 1941 to the love of his life, Esther Peterson. Conrad served in the United States Army as a medic for the Medical Corps in WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Conrad and his wife resided in Duluth and shared over 67 great years of marriage together.

He worked for Bridgeman Russell Creamery for many years delivering ice cream to the greater Duluth area. In retirement Conrad continued working as a woodworker making various items such as, wind mills or lawn ornaments.

Conrad was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; four siblings, Walter, Ruth, Felix, and Ruby; and his grandson, Brent Nelson.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Ron (Eileen) Nelson of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter, Sharon (Roger) Lindberg of Duluth; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Blocksom, Ryan (Liz) Lindberg, and Mark Lindberg; five great-grandchildren, Audrey, Lindsey, Aiden, Sonia, and Elise; and several nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Union Gospel Mission or a charity of your choice.

Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1814 N 51st Ave. East. Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery.
