Thomas Bernard Dunn

Thomas Bernard Dunn, 76, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born on November 5, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to the late James and Corinne Dunn. Tom was completely dedicated to supporting his sons and granddaughters. He was always their biggest fan and cheered them on in life and sporting events. He spent countless hours volunteering through different organizations, including the Catholic Youth Organization of Summit County and was inducted into its Hall of Fame. In more recent years, he was a volunteer with the Hilliard Darby and Grandview Heights high school football departments. Tom was a hard worker who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed traveling, filming sporting events and creating home movies. He would do everything and anything for his family. Tom retired from Western Electric/Lucent Technologies, where he worked for nearly 47 years.

Tom is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jackie (Miller) Dunn; sons Matt (Ed) Dunn, Mike (Lori) Dunn and Joe (Rose) Dunn; and granddaughters Maddie and Sam Dunn. He will be missed by his five siblings James (Sandi) Dunn, Sister Margaret Dunn HM, Grace (Ronald) Andrews, William (Virginia) Dunn and Terrance Dunn; sister-in-law Janet (Lynn) Blose, and mother in law Geri (Don) Huelskamp. Tom will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and caregivers who have assisted him and his wife over the past year. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Edward Dunn and former spouse Nancy Dunn.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 where a service will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to Nationwide Children’s Hospital specifically designated to their Christmas fund and Cancer Bed Program.
