Margaret Catherine Seymour went home to be with Jesus on Friday June 21, 2024. Born on January 11, 1926, to Henry and Marie Weidinger, she lived most of her 98 years in Toledo, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Jim Seymour, on May 8, 1943. Their love was one of a story-tale. Their home was filled with laughter and love. They were best friends and did everything together from listening to the Detroit Tigers baseball games on their small transistor radio to baking their traditional 500 cut-out cookies at Christmas time. They opened their home to anyone in need and were always the first to give anything they could to make another’s life better. They are reunited again and are probably sharing a highball or two in heaven. Margaret was an avid baker, cook, loving wife, mother, adored grandma, and great-grandmother. She was loved by friends, family, her adoring niece Pamela Jones Stricker, and staff at Danbury Senior Living, Columbus which she called home the past six years.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Janet (Joe) Almaguer and Jeff (Belinda) Seymour; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She rejoins her husband, Jim, and son Mike in eternal peace.
We will gather to honor Margaret and celebrate a life adorned with kindness and love at St Brendan’s Catholic Church on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. for her funeral Mass, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Capital City Hospice in Margaret’s name. We are thankful for the loving care Margaret received by the hospice staff and staff at Danbury Senior Living.
