Our beautiful angel Judy Ardolino was born on October 26th, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, and left this Earth on Friday, November 10th, 2023, at home in Dublin, Ohio. She was a loving wife to George Ardolino, a remarkable mother to Marci, George Jr, Kylee, son-in-law Matt, her Pups, Jeter and Charlie, and a loving grandmother to Nicole, Isabella and Carmello. She joins her mother and father, Edward & Eleanore Madden, her four brothers Edward, Michael, Patrick & Jerry Madden in heaven. She is survived by her sister Mary Jones.
She was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Judy started her engineering career at Sola Electric in Elk Grove, Illinois. From the early 1980s, Judy excelled in her career, starting as the first female Regional Sales Manager and quickly became an integral part of Sola Electric Executive Team, in a male-dominated industry. Judy continued to succeed in similar executive positions until 1993, when she decided to become a full-time homemaker and mother. One of Judy’s proudest moments was when she gracefully managed the uprooting of the family to Hong Kong, China, to support her husband’s career. During this time, Judy not only continued to raise her children but was an integral part of supporting her mother-in-law, Francesca. Once the family returned to Ohio, she became an active member in her children’s lives and education. Those in Dublin know of the amazing events, support, and fun she provided to countless students as PTO President. Judy continued her personal growth, becoming a black belt in Tang Soo Do karate, as well as running a successful mobile tanning business, See You in Tan.
Judy’s passions included fashion and shopping around the world, which would create her eclectic and vibrant fashion sense. She and George were avid world travelers, having visited five continents and countless countries together. Judy’s favorite location in the world was Sorento, Italy, visiting yearly in the summer months. We were blessed enough to have spent the Christmas of 2021 in St. Marteen together and having her dance the night away with her family and friends at Kylee’s wedding in the Dominican Republic this past May. She will be remembered for her quick wit, loyalty, compassion, selflessness and unbreakable strength. Judy will be missed for her eccentric sense of humor and “wide” vocabulary.
We will be having a celebration of life on Friday, November 17th. Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin. Visitation will be held following the celebration, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided during the viewing period.
The address for the celebration and service is 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017. In lieu of flowers, Judy would want you to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
